Ways To Sustain

...because earth matters

Home

Welcome to WaysToSustain.com.  Now you may be wondering why the internet needs another “Green” site.  Having spent over 15 years in the environmental field and I found there wasn’t a good one stop shop for sustainability (environmental) information.  The approach I want to take is to make both residential and industrial information more easily accessible.  Who then would find this site useful? Hopefully everyone from newbie’s to seasoned industry folks.  Feel free to go back and forth from the Residential side of the site to the Commercial side.

What you won’t find are a whole much of fancy calculation telling you how much you’ll save if you do this or that.  Often figures become out dated and you would be surprised how much human habits really are the key to savings.  You can save the calculation for when you sit down with a professional.

I hope you enjoy the site and if you have any questions or suggestion for topics feel free to drop a line.

Newsflash

Don't pour fats, oils, and grease down your drain or in your toilet.  This can block the main sewer lines and lines connecting your home to the sewer.  You should store fats and grease in a disposable container and when full throw it out with the trash.  Myth:  you can't chase it with hot water or use soap to prevent clogging.  The only thing that works is not to do it at all.
